Interview with Voyage LA Magazine-
Today we’d like to introduce you to Janelle Reeves.
Janelle, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started my own company five years ago after working off various big brands styling and in retail. I have a bachelors degree in genders studies and Business.
I’ve loved fashion and beauty since I was a little girl. I’ve been involved in the fashion business since I was a teen. Always had a knack for starting my own and building it up.
My brand initially took off with the help of an old show that was on BET called 106 & park. The stylist there contacted me on social media and asked for some of my designs to style their celebrity guest. This landed me other placements etc.
My online store is the bread and butter. With a nice social media following. Although we have stocked in small boutiques over 5.5 years.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being an entrepreneur has been challenging. You have to constantly change and you are responsible for others. However, it is very fulfilling for me.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memories growing up would be playing dress-up in my mother’s clothes and traveling with my family. We did a lot of road trips.Janelle
